Our Story

The FrütStix story starts in 1986 when our owner and founder, William J. McKinley, took his family on a vacation to San Diego, California. While his family was on the beach soaking up the sun and enjoying the waves, a local fruit bar stand caught the attention of his children’s eye.

After their first bite the kids wouldn’t stop asking dad for another, and after tasting the fresh coconut in his first bar Mr. McKinley saw the potential in this small fruit bar stand for himself!

After 34 years of expanding the brand, FrütStix are now enjoyed around the U.S.! Our premium products are still made in San Diego with fresh fruit, California sourced milk, and the finest chocolate, to ensure our customers are satisfied down to the last bite!
